It’s been a minute
July 31, 2020
I has been 1 year 9 months and 12 days since I last published a post.
The world looks a bit different now.
- The have been devastating hurricanes.
- There is a virus wreaking havoc around the world. 17,401,496 people infected.
- There are people who don’t believe this virus is real or serious. 675,167 people dead.
- There are protest, demonstrations, and riots on and off again most in the US, and also in a few other countries. Because we are still fighting for a world where people are not harassed, subjugated, or murdered for being different.
My life looks different now.
- Completed the EMDR basic training course.
- Acquired and quit a second job to pay off debt.
- Paid off all of my student loans.
- Lost over 15 lbs.
- Purchased a car without financing.
- Worked from home for 3 months.
- Now worried when I seen people in the grocery store without a mask.
It feels like the universe is collapsing. I have all of these cute euphemisms for what is going on.
“The universe gave each of us a heavier load to carry.”
“The world is on fire or it could be the Georgia heat.”
In an effort to not fall apart with the rest of the world I tried to stay focused on my bigger picture. How far have I come and are my goals still possible.
I have been able to steadily move forward with most of my goals for 2018 and 2019. The stuff that kept getting pushed to the next year are things associated with my physical health.
Now that health is a political topic I should pay more attention to mine.
I am still working to automate some of my career and finance goals but my health requires my immediate attention.
- Manage stress.
- Get down to a weight where I don’t feel heavy.
- Find out what is messing with my skin and destroy it.
- Figure out lifestyle changes need to be made to treat PCOS.
How are you adapting?
